Special Nature Reserve of Bessa

According to an old legend, the ancient Romans exploited  the inhabitants of this area as slaves in order to dig the gold present in the Bessa. But the day came when, tired of not  being paid, the slaves began to put aside  part of the gold collected day by day. Then they melted the stolen gold and created a horse-shaped statuette. This figurine is believed to be still hidden in the Bessa stony grounds.
